All I know is that I don't know
Tonight I found myself in a cave. A cave. Honest to goodness cave. 30 foot downclimb, 4 different caverns - all connected, not a mine, cave. What the heck?!? I even have a picture to prove it (which I will put up on Sunday).I was hanging out with a bunch of the boys from the fraternity that I advise in boulder, one of them grew up here, knew about the cave, and we went at 2am. It is about a mile from my house - and me, Mr. Adventure, had no idea it was here.
Moral of the story: we never have any idea what is going to happen in the next moment. We can make a good guess, but we never will know for sure. Our lives are vapors. "Know ye not what may happen on the morrow; for what is your life? It is but a vapor that appears for a moment and then vanishes." - James 4:14
2nd, how much do we really know about our own locality? We spend so much time wanting to travel elsewhere without even exploring what is in our own backyards, cities, or states - whether it be a random cave a mile from our house, or the lives of our next door neighbors.
Good night. I leave to go skiing in 3.5 hours.
